4 Easy Ways to Incorporate Protein Into Your Diet

For many people, it can be challenging to get enough protein in each day. An easy way to add some protein to your diet is through protein powder. Below I run through a few of my favorite ways I use protein powder in my diet. Enjoy!

Side note: my favorite protein to use is SFH (either Pure, Fuel, or Recovery for these recipes- Recovery is only used after a workout!). Not sponsored by them- I just love their products! #livinSFH

Chia Seed Pudding:

Chia seed pudding makes a great snack or breakfast for me. Also, making this is super easy and takes less than 10 minutes (not including time for the chia seeds to set). Here’s my recipe for chia seed pudding:
- 8 whole strawberries
- 1 can coconut milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 scoop Pure vanilla protein powder
- 1/2 cup chia seeds

Smoothies

Smoothies + protein powder are always a go-to for me. I typically change up my smoothie ingredients daily, but one of all time favorites - this carrot cake smoothie recipe - is below!
- 1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/2 cup carrots (I used shredded)
- 1/2 banana
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tbs. maple syrup
- 1 scoop protein powder (I’ve made this twice- once with vanilla and once with coconut flavored powder- both delicious!)
- 3 tbs. hemp seeds
- 1 cup ice

Pancakes:

Pancakes + protein powder are a delicious way to sneak your protein in. Not all pancake recipes need to be complicated either! Two examples of recipes I like are listed below:

  • Banana Nut Pancakes (adapted from SkinnyTaste- I added 1 scoop of protein to my batter!)
  • Blueberry Pancakes (recipe below)
    • 1 cup oat flour
    • 1 banana
    • 2 tsp vanilla
    • 2 scoops Fuel coconut protein powder
    • 5 egg whites
    • 4 tsp baking powder
    • 1 cup blueberries
